Capcom has held a press conference for their new game, Monster Hunter: Stories. As revealed by Capcom, Monster Hunter: Stories will be released in Japan on October 8th, 2016. Along with a new title added onto their 2016 line-up, they’ve also revealed that the game will have amiibo functionality and amiibo of its own! 


Monster Hunter: Stories will have three amiibo which will unlock a special Otomon within the game, The one eyed Rathalos and rider (Male & Female variations), and your friendly companion in the game, Nabiru. 

The male and female variations will be available for 1,800 yen and the Nabiru amiibo will be available for 1,200 yen in Japan.


The official artwork for Monster Hunter: Stories was also revealed during Capcom’s press conference.

North America is still awaiting a release date for these newly announced amiibo. More information will be revealed by Capcom on June 2nd! Stay tuned for more news.
