Good morning, everyone! If you were up early this today you likely got to see the new Pokémon information that the Pokémon Company released via their YouTube page.
We were first properly introduced to the new legendary Pokémon. The video showcases the Pokemon’s names, their types, and their abilities.
Not much is explained about the new attacks and ability, but they sure do seem interesting! Full Metal Body appears to nullify any abilities that would change the Pokémon’s stats. That’s one steadfast Pokémon!
Lunala’s ability, Shadow Shield was not displayed like Solgaleo’s. We did get a pretty good look at the Pokémon’s full appearance and special moves!
The region map is now fully revealed! We can now see the number of islands and their different environments. I wonder if Dive will return as a usable move on the over-world!
We also got a couple quick looks at how your character moves throughout their adventure! I am really excited to see a fully realized Pokémon world! Unlike earlier installments, everything is full size in this Pocket Monster game!
The trailer gives us a quick look at character customization. This was shown in the earlier Japanese trailer, but its nice to see them mention the feature.
Lillie is Professor Kukui’s assistant in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. According to the official Pokémon website, “She is not fond of making Pokémon fight in battles, but she loves reading and has devoured many books.” It will be interesting to see how she gets along with your character and how your relationship will change as the game progresses.
Last but certainly not least, perhaps the most unexpected of Pokémon announcement! The Electric Ghost Pokémon, Rotom, was first introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. It is known for its ability to inhabit technology, in the games this created its many forms. From a washing machine, to a lawn mower, the Pokémon was always battle ready. Now Rotom will be a more than useful guide on your Pokémon adventure!
That’s all for now folks, but with E3 on the horizon, I’m sure the nice people at the Pokémon Company will have even more information to share with us!
