Nintendo of America announced on Wednesday, that the final broadcast dedicated to Smash Bros will air worldwide on December 14th at 2:00 p.m. PST/5:00 p.m. EST! There has been a lot of hype and speculation on who and what will be announced during the broadcast. According to the Nintendo Direct page, the broadcast will be hosted by Masahiro Sakurai, and he’ll be going into details of Cloud and more. Here’s our predictions for the upcoming Smash Bros announcement:

1. Cloud & Midgar Stage to be released shortly after the announcement:
Cloud2  Cloud’s announcement was not only a shock to many fans within the Final Fantasy franchise, but was a big shock to others, being that big title characters are crossing over to Smash Bros. Opening doors for new and infinite possibilities of getting new characters onto the fighter roster. For years, fans have been begging to get Cloud onto Smash and Sakurai has finally given into this request. It still is unclear on whether or not Cloud was the winner of the Smash Ballot, but we do know that he’s been worked on even before the Smash Ballot ended. We’re expecting to see more of Cloud and possibly a brief explanation of his his move-sets and what it took to get Cloud onto Smash. We believe we’ll be getting Cloud and the Midgar stage after the announcement, or at least a release date for it.

2.
New Stages:
We love all the new stages that have been added onto Smash, and we are hoping that Sakurai will bless us with more stages. Even though this is the final broadcast dedicated to Smash Bros, it doesn’t mean we won’t get more DLC in the future in regular Nintendo Direct announcements.

3. amiibo:
RoyWe expect Sakurai to show us the new amiibo coming to Smash Bros for Roy & Ryu. As announced in the previous Smash Bros broadcast, Sakurai told us that Roy & Ryu amiibo were in development, and now would be the ideal time to showcase them. Nintendo wants to end this year with a bang, and we all can’t wait to see how they’d look. We do hope that Cloud will get the same announcement to have an amiibo in the coming months. Would be great if they already have a prototype but who knows.

4. DLC Characters:
Data miner, ShinyQuagsire found three open slots for characters way back in October, and is believed that two slots are remaining, due to Cloud’s announcement during the Nintendo Direct from November. We’re hoping we can get Solid Snake back into Smash, which could be a possibility as we’ve seen with returning characters such as Roy & Lucas. Snake had one of the best move sets within Brawl and would only be ideal to have him return.

Who do you think the Smash Ballot winner is? What character would you like to see next in Smash Bros? Let us know what your predictions are for the upcoming broadcast on Tuesday on our Twitter/Facebook Pages!
