Nintendo has posted their latest Financial Results ending on December 31st, including the sales of Wii U & 3DS consoles with their respective games. 

According to the Financial Results posted on their website, amiibo figures and cards have  sold approximately 20.50 million units and 21.50 million units, respectively. The sales for amiibo have shown a strong performance globally without losing any momentum! 

Adding onto the strong performance in sales, Nintendo is planning to expand the amiibo line-up to continue the momentum. As previously mentioned, Nintendo plans on adding more functionality for amiibo in new upcoming games, offering a new gaming experience.
